Kim Blackwell
Kim BlackwellExecutive Director/Programmer
Kim was born in BC but raised in New Brunswick. After high school Kim went to Ontario where she studied Interior Design for 3 years and then made her way out west. Arriving in North Vancouver being a broke 21 year old in need of a job to pay rent, she took a job on one of the local ski mountains. What was supposed to be a seasonal job turned into working full time year round. Working on the mountain happily suited her outdoor lifestyle and love of cross-country skiing, hiking, biking and swimming. She worked in the Nordic area of Cypress Mountain running the ticket office, guest services, ski school programs and helping in all aspects of the operation. After almost a decade it was time to get out of the city with only 2 requirements: a ski mountain & a body of water. This brought her to Black Creek where she has resided for the past 16 years with her husband and daughter. She returned to work in design, working for a local cabinet shop designing kitchens, baths, and various commercial & residential projects. Now she has come full circle back into the recreation industry.

Vi EllisFinance Coordinator
Vi was born and raised locally in Black Creek, with deep family ties to the area. Vi first became involved with the Black Creek Community Association as Treasurer on our Board of Directors. This became a paid staff position, when she signed on as Office Manager in 1990. Over the years, Vi has evolved her skill-set to become our Finance Coordinator. Vi benefits from the continued guidance and support of her husband Andrew (who is a retired accountant). Together they now operate a home-based bookkeeping business. Vi holds a wealth of knowledge about our local community and the history of our association. When not working hard crunching numbers in the office, Vi is an active member of the Black Creek Community Church. Vi enjoys spending time with her adult children and three grandchildren. Vi feels fortunate to live in such a beautiful corner of the world, with family, work and a strong community nearby.
Tasha Harrison
Tasha HarrisonOffice Administrator
Born in Vancouver, Tasha moved to Whistler after graduating from Hospitality Management to ride the mountains, work in the hospitality (hotels, restaurants, reservations), and teach yoga. After 10 years, it was time to settle down, move to a Squamish, get married and have kids. Tasha’s passion for growing and eating healthy food brought her to Vancouver Island, where she now has a large garden, chickens, and a piece of paradise for her 3 young kids to create wild adventures. As a stay-at-home mom for 7 years, Tasha craved connection, and The Black Creek Community Center seemed to be just the right fit for her to feel like she can actively contribute and be a part of the community. She finds another source for connection in podcasting. You can listen to her Podcast called “Collective Conversations” where herself and two friends talk about real life; the struggles, lessons, the journey, how we show up in this world, and how we can find Love in everything.
